HAIR TIPS

Before making a purchase of raw extensions, we recommend approaching them with a fresh perspective, distinct from that of virgin extensions. Raw hair necessitates a higher level of maintenance and should be treated with the same care as your natural hair. The products you choose to use are crucial to the health of your hair, as are the tools and methods you employ for maintenance. These factors can significantly impact the quality and longevity of your hair.

Prior to washing your hair, we recommend applying conditioner first, followed by shampoo, and then conditioning a second time. Allow the conditioner to sit for 30 minutes, gently detangle using a wide-tooth comb, combing from the ends to the roots in a downward motion, then rinse thoroughly. It is important to ensure that all conditioner is rinsed out to maintain the luster of your hair. Additionally, it is advised not to use excessive product in order to achieve a desirable bouncy and airy appearance. Should you notice any static in your extensions, it's likely an indicator of insufficient moisture. Static occurs when dry hair attempts to draw moisture from the air, when paired with dry hands is not a good scenario. To address this, we recommend a deep conditioning treatment and the application of a serum prior to styling.

We advise against using a blow dryer on your hair unless time is a constraint. For optimal results, we recommend allowing the extensions to air dry overnight. Regular professional maintenance is essential, including light trimming of the ends of the hair post-installation. When considering coloring your extensions, it is strongly recommended to engage a licensed professional to minimize the risk of damage. Remember once you add hair dye chemicals to extensions it is not 100% raw hair anymore. To enhance luster, apply a quarter-sized amount of one of the recommended oils before your stylist begins styling, particularly if you live in colder climates.

To keep your hair looking fabulous, wear a silk bonnet or snooze on a satin pillowcase to protect those extensions while you catch some z's. Remember, never hit the hay with wet hair to avoid waking up to a tangled mess! Embrace the wig brush as your best-friend, especially if you're rocking some long extensions . Keep it close at hand to keep those tresses looking on point!

We recommend the following shampoo brands for maintaining our silky extensions:
